The Von is a camera bag for walking all day, designed specifically for photographer Thorsten von Overgaard who travels to more than 25 countries a year.
This model has a shape so it folds around the body, and along with a wide cross-body strap of leather, it is light and comfortable to wear for a long day out and about.
The size of a bag influences how tiring it feels to wear, and even an empty larger bag will tire you out after some hours. This is why the Messenger Mini has a shape that "folds around the body" and size (7.50D x 24W x 28H cm) so it feels like nothing.
Designed for multiple uses:
It is designed for the specific use of Thorsten von Overgaard, which means that it usually holds extra battery, filters, phone, a water bottle, scarf, pens, notebook and other small items. Some times an extra camera body with lens. It also provides extra space to hold things you might buy when out and about; so that you can have your hands free to photograph.
For other days, it is used to hold a 15" laptop (that sticks a few centimeters above the bag but is covered by the bag cover) for carrying computer and a few other items from a hotel room to breakfast, or to a cafe or a meeting.
For portrait and model shoots, the bag is designed so it holds a folded 60cm (2 feet) reflector, lightmeter, an extra lens, and more.
The bag may hold computer, reflector, a couple of lenses, lightmeter, notebook, scarf and more at the same time; but it is not intended as a bag to hold everything as you should dress as light and simple as possible in terms of equipment when out and about photographing.
This model is made in soft black calfskin with a number of signature orange details inside and outside. It has one large zip pocket inside, two smaller pockets for business cards, phone, etc, as well as two holders for pen (wide diameter so they can hold fountain pens).
It also has a "hidden" pocket on the back towards the body for a newspaper, receipts, a notebook and similar.
